INTO THE MAGIC SPACE

Into the Magic Space is a series of photographic images that conceptually explore outer space and outer space phenomenon. Each of the works in the series takes a phenomenon from astronomy and pairs it with images that evoke an understanding of that phenomenon. I have not tried to be literal with my images, but only to give a sense of an alternative way to view the universe.

THE HOUSE FALLS INTO MEADOW 
FROM THE MEADOW RISES A FOREST

This series of photographic works is about cycles; the constant circling of of life and matter from one stage to the next and back again. Using Greek mythology as a conceptual framework, I explore the cycles and stages of the sun, the seasons and man's interventions into interrupting these major events.

LOOKING AT SEEING

This series looks at different conceptual ways of looking at subject matter to make art. Whether  it is a new point of view, a contrast of media, a change of focus or new juxtapositions of images, these can all effect how the finished piece id understood.

Structure of the Church is my excavation of my complex feelings regarding spirituality and the church. Using the forms of Gothic architecture and in some cases, gold leaf, I have tried to flesh out the meanings of what I was taught, how I lived it and what I experienced as regards the spiritual. It remains enigmatic and conflicted.
