ÆTHER

The second component of ÆTHER at Curious Matter was the photograms. The photograms are all untitled and are composed of rubber toys, glass, crumpled waxed paper, spilled water, leaves and sticks. these objects are placed on photographic paper and exposed to light for a brief moment. The paper is then developed as you would a photograph.

The imagry is connected to the transparency or translucentcy of most of the materials and how that would translate to an image. Because the images seem other worldly or like outer space phenomon, they related well to the box constructions.
